Default 1970 alternator hook up-30AMP Fuse

Hey Guys..Look atthis picture. It is from a 1970 TA with A/C.. Here is what I am trying to find out.. This harness has two large wires that merge at the ring hook up on the rear of the alternator. Both black wires, one with an orange stripe and the other red.The orange striped black wire has teh 30 AMP Fuse holder inline. Can some of you guys check your cars and see if this was just used on A?C cars or do we see it with all cars..
