Default 70 firebird front suspension

I just finished pulling the last bit of suspension off my firebird for a rebuild, and am wondering if anyone has an opinion on the bolt in coil-over shocks offered by QA-1 (or any others the use the stock control arms). Both shocks are toast and one coil spring is broken in 2 places, so it all needs to be replaced, are the coil-overs a noticeable difference in ride or would new shocks and springs be as good. Getting new ball-joints and bushings in either case.
Thanks for any help.
