timing chain dots.

Hi all...Im swapping out my chain with a double roller, when we get #1 on TDC the cam dot is at 12 o`clock and crank is at 12 also. What cylinder would be TDC to have the cam dot at 6 and the crank at 12? The manual shows this on how to line up marks but doesnt say what cylinder is TDC.
