i used a 2802 in a 455 acouple years ago and liked it.stock 455 short block, just needed new rings, bearings and oil pump,400 4X heads to bump the compression up,performer intake and 73 455 carb.this was in a 73 trans am,1800 stall with 3.08 gears.you could tell it would have liked a little more converter and gear.maybe 2200-2500,and 3.42.,but with street tires you could break them loose any time you wanted.

yes there are alot better out there but for just alittle more power and my second build i was happy.
