Default 67 GTO california rochester carb 7037262.

I just got a 67 GTO that is a california car, complete with AIR emission system still intact. The car has the Rochester cali carb 7037262. I would like to replace the carb with a after market carb that will just drop on and bolt up to the existing manifold and plumbing. The old rochester is spilling fuel onto the manifold, wont idle and runs like crap..My long term idea for restoration may be to keep the AIR system intact to keep the car correct or to ditch it. Until then I just want it to run good for a few years until I decide what restoration route I will go. Any aftermarket carb suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Tom.
