Mallory coil 29216 and 29219
HI,
i have a 1965 283 canadian Pontiac Parisienne. Problem: I have install a crane cams XR-i electronic ignition module and replaced my stock GM ignition coil with the MALLORY electronic coil 29216 and use a extern ballast resistor. Runs great. Cool. My questions: -Does i need the ballast resistor or can the system work without the ballast resistor? -is it better to use the Mallory coil 29219? Have seen that the 29216 is only for Chrysler??? What is a capacitive discharge ignition system? Has my car this system or not, because that one of the differences in the Mallory coil 29216 and 29219. Which coil i should use?
