I've got a Hayes billet steel flywheel that has been on about a year - put a "aftermarket" clutch/pressure plate on the car (69 gto, 474), at the same time.
Have been to the strip several times this year - and the clutch is the weak link, holding, etc. Am going to upgrade to the Centerforce DF unit. The flywheel has a little discoloration where the disc was - but no wear that I can feel with the finger. Does it have to be resurfaced???? Seems unneccesary. |
