Question Pipes Tailpipe Connection

I was wondering if my "puff puff" exhaust sound at idle is coming from the reversed connection at the tail pipes. My engine has a RA-4 cam with lots of overlap. These are Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers going into a Pipes exhaust system.

You can barely here the puffing sound in the video.

I was going to have a small piece of pipe made up to correct this connection at the rear of the muffler.

Thank you
