Default 1968 Firebird 400 4-speed PHS Documented needs complete restore

I have a 1968 Firebird which was a 400, 4-speed car and is PHS documented. This car was factory with QQ color code exterior with 51 trim. It had a factory hood tach, with rally guages, console and F70x14 Red oval tires. I have a clear Missouri title for this car in my name in hand as well as the PHS Documentation that goes as well.

It is completely disassembled and the factory floor pan has been removed in such a way that you can easily reinstall a new pan. The inner rockers do have some rust, but it is fixable as is. Outer rockers also have rust spots. I was planning on doing a resto on the car, but have other bills to pay.

Here's what I have:

VIN: 223378U127529

The full body shell, with trunk section intact, including rear trunk drop offs and very clean framerails. There is one hole in the trunk, near one corner of the spare tire well. Welds and seam sealer near the inner fender wells look good, but could use some sandblasting. The rear tail pan has been tastefully removed, but the trunk latch is intact as is the lower inner tailpan.

I would replace the quarters on this car, as it has rust around the wheelwell openings, but it's not as bad as I've seen. Outer wheelhouses will need repair, but there is no rust near the rocker area. No rust in the door jambs, with exception of some surface rust on interior support panel on pass side.

The roof panel needs either replacement or repair at the windshield seal points, as well as the rear window around the extents of both windows. This includes replacement or repair of upper dash and rear sail pan extension.

The firewall looks like it has had some damage near the distributor area as there are 2 cuts, but could be repaired with sheetmetal. Body mounts look good in the firewall area as do the tulip boxes. You will need to install new lower firewall extensions where they meet the floor pan. Car comes complete with original doors, which have all window and door latch assemblies attached and minimal rust on outer door skins at each bottom corner. Glass is intact in the doors, and I have both 1/4 windows, but no roller assemblies. Hinges intact. There are 3 other empty doors that might have misc. parts here and there, and I can get you the exact info. They are all 68 doors.

I have a complete set of window trim (as far as I know), including windshield, rear window, upper window channel, and rear 1/4 window trim. I also have at least 2 sets of grilles, without the piece between the headlights and they are not of 400 variety. The chrome front bumper is in the package, but it is also obviously not factory and not of the 400 variety. I have 2 header panels, both sets of headlight bucket sets and some spare parts. Radiator support is included, but has some rust near one body mount. Front bumper brackets are included. I have both factory front seats fully intact, but in need of repair. 2 kick panel covers for AC in need of restoration, but I believe the car was non A/C. Original monoleaf and 10 bolt is intact and I need to read through the PHS info to get the ratio. Front subframe is detached, but I have both sides of the A-arms, spindles and drum brake assemblies. I do not have a fuel tank for the car. I do have a factory decklid with some rust and the factory cowl panel and front sail pan which need repair.

The inner rear interior quarter armrests are included, and are believed to be of deluxe style and of interior correct color (most of material is removed), but are in need of repair and it is unknown if they are original. My research does not lead me to believe the car had Deluxe, since I have the "factory colored" standard uhpolstory seats and black standard door panels. Standard door panels are in restorable shape and have all chrome and firebird emblem. I have a deluxe dash pad, that has been recovered with a non factory cover, but still has the chrome trim, and I have one extra set of chrome trim. I have a non-factory non-rally guage setup, but it is still a pontiac piece. It has the 160 speedo and a factory clock IIRC. I have one hood which is a 400 hood but in real bad shape - someone shot it with a small rifle in between the scoops, as well as a large divot in the passenger side and I can provide pics. I have the factory scoops for this hood as well. I have 3 factory tail lights with chrome. Several ashtrays and one glovebox. There are no emblems, turn signals or rear quarter lights with the car. The defrost duct is in the group too. No rear bumper or brackets. 2 steering colums as well as one set of 4 speed pedals.

I have 2 fenders with rust, but rust free lower front sections. There are a few more parts and pieces I will include and can get good quality photos of any of them upon request.

$2000 OBO This is a piece of Pontiac History, so someone restore this rig! I have listed this as accurately as I can - there may be more parts too, I have to get them rounded up. This was a complete car when I bought it, but it was in pieces! I will not part this car out, please keep those posts to a minimum.

I will upload more pics after the 3 day bump. If you need any PM me your email and I will get them to you. It is currently stored inside of my shop. If you were interested in purchasing this car, then having me do the work to make it rust free - feel free to toss the idea by me, I would like a project - just don't have the extra funds for it to keep for myself. I could also do any type of chassis work including NHRA Certified work in tubing if you wanted to go that route.
