Default 1971 Pontiac T-37 455 cid

Hey guys. Here is my 71 T37 I built primarily for the pure stock drags. This started as an original 6cyl T37. I shared some photos while doing the frame off on the V8 Buick board for the stock guys. This car was originally limekist green and I changed it to the Tropical lime.
The frame was powder coated as well as the rear end housing, Rear upper and lower ctrl arms, rear backing plates, radiator support, inner fenderwells, and frt lower ctrl arms.
Rear end carries an auburn posi unit mated to richmond 3.55 gears. New driveshaft was made and painted. Transmission is a Turbo 350 with mild shift kit built by our local transmission guy.
Engine is a 74 block bored .030 and crank machined .010.
Sealed power forged pistons with re-conditioned stock rods. Crower hyd cam.
Heads are correct casting # 66's completley re-done with all new parts and ferrea valves. Correct # intake manifold.
Has log manifolds and a crane conversion in the stock type distributor.
Q-jet was built by Cliff Ruggles, and distributor curved by Rocky Rotella.
Has a dash cap over the original dash. New seat covers from PUI on both benches. New blk carpet. Door panels and headliner original and in great shape.
Still has protecto-plate in the glove box.
Debut of this car was at the Sept pure stock drags in 2008. It was 2 weeks old and fresh. Unfortunatley it was mostly rained out but we still got to make a few passes.
That evening in bad weather it ran a 13.80.
Fast forward to last month at the Dayton Co-vention and it ran a best of 13.40 with the rest of the pontiac guys from michigan and ohio.
HPP did a photo shoot on it before it left for an upcoming feature.
Had alot of fun with this project, since Tom Miller almost forced me to build a 455 D-port engine for the drags, since it is overshadowed by the ram airs and 455 H.O' S and Super Dutys.
The round port engines have a little more power, so this was a challenge.
I have alot more pics of the whole project if you would like to see them just e-mail me at Dharber7@insightbb.com or call me at 859-338-4016.
Oh yeah Jeff Sawruk gave me some literature that shows there were only 15 original ones made with the 455 d-port. Kinda neat and a deserved tribute in my opinion.
Price is $18000.00 AS always I have more in it, but this is what the market is right now. Thanks for looking.
