Hi all!

I was on my way home from the Woodward Dream Cruise when all of a sudden I heard a terrible noise. Long story made short, the distributor shaft froze causing my distributor to spin, tearing up my wiring harness, coil and heater hose.

Now that I need to replace the distributor, I am wondering what my best option is. Should I replace it with an original distributor (point or pointless), an electronic type distributor, HEI or other type.

I would prefer to keep the engine as close to original looking as I can but I realize I may need to change the looks to do this right.

Suggestions please!
