My lowered 67 has the 2 1/2 pipes x-pipe system. The x tucks up really nice and you can't see it from the side of the car. Believe me, the headpipes will hit the ground before the x. Last summer, I flattened my headpipes in a dip in the road that I couldn't see. It was disappointing to look under and see that. At least it wasn't the oil pan.
