I need some advice as to what should be next in line for my resto-mod for my 69 goat.
1.) Bodywork and paint? 2.) Powertrain? 3.) Interior? As it sits, the suspension is done, the brakes (sans booster & mc) will be done shortly, the rust monster has been exorcised, frame painted (frame on re-do). It's essentially a rolling shell with the doors on. The paint and body work are of a decent driver quality. With a buff job, it would be a nice looking 10 footer. I was leaning towards getting the engine done, but I'm weary of letting an expensive engine sit in the corner until I get the other stuff done. I'm weary of getting the body work done before the engine because of potentially damaging the fresh paint while I try to finish everything else. Really, the only issue with the current body work is a quarter that someone replaced at some point may need a little more massaging, that and the color. No numbers match whatsoever on this car, so originality is way out the window. My build, hopefully, will just be a good-looking, good-performing, nice-day to drive to work on Friday type car, if you all get my meaning. Not into shows or races. More of a local root-beer stand cruise night or Saturday night at a buddies house kind of guy. What would you guys do at this point? Would I regret doing it a certain way? This is my first build, so please be nice. Thanks
