Greetings, I wanted to share something with everyone. By chance, I happened to have the chance to see a 1968 Tempest with 25,000 actual miles on it. I'm not real sure, but believe some young guy bought it from the first owner and had a minor problem with it. So, it was in a shop I went to. The car has a tilt column, with column **** automatic. A 350 engine, and the interior looked factory fresh. Outside, some minor paint fading, but nothing a good wax would not make beautiful.
Now, this was really interesting because I was able to see everything as it was from the factory I believe. The spring clip battery cables, how the TVS switch was set up, and even the factory spark plugs. The battery was not factory though. The Duo-Jet carb, and even the factory jack and spare. This car was bought by the young guy as a driver, and not to show from what I was told. It is a dark green exterior, with a gold interior as best I was able to tell by the light. I, was allowed to look around at the car, so I did my best to check things out. I liked the fact it's been stored inside it's whole life. Even the interior had some of the fresh smell left. No dirt really, had floor mats, and beautiful seat belts. Not one indication it's even even been smoked in. Under the hood was still very clean and other then some normal minor dirt in the normal areas. It was easy to look and see how everything should look. Anyway, I just wanted to share this, as it's rare I see something like this. And, the cool thing is I was told the young guys is not even a car enthusiast, rather just found it and decided it would make a nice driver. And, of course, I left my name, and number just in case. Good day friends. Mike
