Vinyl dye? Anyone find a good one?

I just sprayed a pair of parchment sunvisors with Rustoleum brand vinyl dye and wasn;t too happy with the results. It covered after multiple coats but is much shinier on the welting than on the vinyl fabric. I have a pair of parchment door panels I want to dye bklack also and am not liking the Rustoleum product. Can anyone recomment a rattle can dye that gives good covererage and an even semi-gloss sheen?
