I am trying to chase down the parts needed to get my 69 door window assemblies working right. Identifying parts and finding sources is proving to be a bit tricky, especially for the rollers. I don't want to pull it all apart before I think I have sources for all the parts, but I took some pics to help identify things. I really could use help from anyone that has been through this before.
It looks like there are three different types of rollers used. There are three rollers riveted to the window drive arms. The roller in the rear vertical guide is attached directly to the glass. The roller in the front vertical guide is attached to a block that rides in a short horizontal channel that is attached to the glass. Drive rollers (first pic)- I need a new drive mechanism for the drivers side and these seem to be readily available. Are the riveted rollers usually included with new replacement drive mechanisms? Where can I get replacement rollers and how are replacements attached? Rear roller (second pic)- I see these listed for sale online so shouldn't be a problem. Front roller (third and fourth pic)- The roller on the passenger side is completely missing, although the block that it screws into is still in the horizontal guide. Is the roller assembly the same as used for the rear even though it attaches differently? I also need the bracket that the door panel clips to at the rear of the passengers side, also missing. The fifth pic shows this bracket on the drivers side. If anyone has seen one of these for sale, or has a spare to sell, please let me know. Thanks! Walt Walt
