Default 1977 Trans Am 400 XA engine - just rebuilt

1977 Trans Am 400 engine
Code XA Date = D287
6X - 4 heads Date = C287

Bored .030, boiled, all new freeze plugs, crank cut 10/10 and polished, new cam bearings.
Rods stock, new TRW flat tops. New high pressure oil pump, pick up tube tack welded on.
Clevite bearings, double roller timing chain set, rebuilt heads with valve job.
New Comp 272 cam, lifters and dual springs with adjustable rocker arms.
I bought the engine already rebuilt for a project that has been sold.
It was an unpaid machine shop deal with another motor, so no receipt came with it.
I checked inside the oil pan and removed one head to verify and take a few pictures.
Then assembled and started on test stand with special break in oil.
It has run over an hour before the video was made today.
This was a 30 degree cold start and warm up.
Everything is good to go.
You get the long block oil pan to intake:

NOT INCLUDED:
carb
exhaust manifolds
flywheel
distributor
pulleys, brackets, alt or starter

Asking $1600 and you know a machine shop bill and the new parts cost double that.
Local pick up is best
Can ship at buyers expense.
860-379-2688 if you are ready to buy a rebuilt 400 for $1600 and have questions.
