Default Blocking the Heat Riser??

Hey Everyone,

I have heard that it is probably best to block the heat riser hole going from the cylinder head up through the intake manifold. This should minimize the amount of heat on the intake manifold and stop the paint from burning off.

Do you guys think this is the way to go? If yes, what is the best way to do this?? I have a few ideas but I thought I would ask first.

Thanks
