Default new motor in..have a couple questions

Hey guys i need some help.I just fired up my new motor in my 65 gto its a 68 400 comps 490 lift cam,65 tripower and im seeing some same issues i saw with my other motor i had in it. 2 diff things i guess..one is right side number 2 and 4 seem to run lean, its sputters some out of right tail pipe, if i hold my hands near both tail pypes the left side is way hotter..i have number 65 jets in the primary carb. also my concern is the distributor set up..its stock with stock points and it has a acell adjustable vacum advance..i dont think its working right half the time..I set timing at 10 degrees with vac line unhooked and the plug it in and get no change sometimes. im trying to keep this very stock appearing and would like to keep the dist and points etc..can anyone or can you recommend someone who can supply me with a correct vacum advance for my dist OR a complete dist set up for tripower specs? also when the car is idleing the dist hose has vacum is this right also?
