After reading this thread and having overheating problems I removed the water pump and ordered a new one. Now I'm having second thoughts about my existing water pump. In the thread there is a SS plate mentioned. Mine doesn't have any and I have trouble imagining how water could forced out of th epump with such a wide gap between impeller and housing. Maybe I'm missing the SS plate?
