Default HEI BAT wire

Okay guys I'm stumped. I have an idea but need someone to bounce this off of. 79 TATA, 403.... Brought the car back to life after sitting a couple years. I had zero spark, I checked the HEI BAT wire, pink, and when disconnected from the distributor it has 12 volts. If I plug it in and measure for voltage with the lid to the coil off I have 6.5-7 volts..... I ran a 12 volt jumper and the car starts and runs great, turn the key off of course nothing happens until I disconnect my jumper. Now the really odd thing is that this is intermittent. For a little while today, I needed no jumper and the car ran great. I checked the resistance and the negative cable found no issues, even dropped the column to examine the ignition switch for burns. As I can tell from the diagrams, it appears that the pink wire comes straight from the ignition switch. Any help would be amazing
