Default Electrical problem?

My 10th TA is having a problem with I guess the power window circuit. It affects my Tach, fuel gauge, key buzzer and power windows. The tach will peg out, or freeze, and the power windows, and fuel gauge stop working, and perhaps the voltmeter. I had this problem for quite awhile. I once put my foot up where the fuse box is, and my foot touched the wiring, and everything started working again. It now quit working again. I now look under there and try wiggling stuff, and the tach will peg and get stuck, and the door key buzzer will start buzzing, but I can't get it to work again. Any ideas on the best way to diagnose and fix this problem? Could it be a bad fuse box, the wiring behind it, or something else?
Thanks
