Default 389 piston in a 62 4cyl

I found a set (8) of .030 over cast 389 pistons. I have read on here about using them in the 4cyl, but will they increase the compression to much for a daily driver ?

and I picked up another engine that is a '61. It does not have an oil filter, It just
the part that bolts to the block in place of the filter adapter with the pressure sending unit. Is this common for '61s ?
Thanks
