Default Axle tube code decipering...

Done several searches here, and on google. No dice. I want to be able to identify at a glance what ratios "should" be in a rear axle I am looking at. What are the codes corresponding to these axle ratios?

2.56
2.78
2.93
3.08
3.23
3.36
3.55

The 12 bolt in my 72' Chevelle is stamped C F C - indicating 3.31 positraction, Buffalo NY assembly plant. What are the codes like this for the Pontiac 8.2's? Say for 68'- 72' Lemans/GTO.

Thanks in advance.
