Default Carb question

Well, I just got this 72 Lemans and I need some advice. The PO had this car for 33 years and changed a few things from stock. He added an Edelbrock intake and a Holley carb. The carb is not right for the car, I think it is too big and it is just plain junk. I would like to put an AFB/Edelbrock or possibly a Summit racing carb on it. I am looking at a 600-650cfm. The engine is all stock except for the intake and I will be getting rid of the points and going to an HEI.
I am looking for reliable driver, not a street racer. Reasonable mileage would be a plus, but I know it is a big car, big engine, so I am realistic.
Anyway, its a 350, THM350, all stock except for intake, what carb do you think would be best for this? AFB, Summit Racing, Q-Jet, Other? 600-650Ccfm or other?
Thanks
Scott
