Default 60-65 GMC Trucks

There is one for sale here local, called the guy and he isnt sure exactly what year it is, fishy but maybe he hasnt had it long er something. I think its a 1965

What i have been able to figure out is its a custom cab due to some extra chrome, 3/4 ton due to 8 lugs and full floating axles in the back.

It has a coil spring front suspension guess earlier ones were torsion bars
Has original 305 V-6 not sure yet of the trans type.

I very briefly looked at it it has been rode hard and put away wet but looks to be a desert survivor

will probably see about a test drive tomorrow as it is tagged asking 1500

Bud at work says to look at the wrap around windshield up top guess they can rust there often.

the back window is a mess maybe had a camper on it once but its plexiglass and wood screwed in wouldnt be to hard to beat it as close to straight as possible then weld the screw holes shut and install original window from LMC

That 305 was nothing to brag about something like 200hp and near that in torque, i have a pontiac 350 and turbo 400 that would find a home in there and would boost both torque and HP about 150 each

Anyone here have any love for these trucks and can give me some pointers ? Thanks..
