quarter window vertical strip install
Hi,
I want to install my quarter window vertical chrome strips. Install of the weather strip into the chrome piece is not in question. I have new rubber, and the chrome pieces are good. I searched this forum, and found no previous answer. On attaching the chrome to the window: It looks like there was some kind of butyl tape or something in the channel to bind it to the glass. It had never been previously removed from the car, and was obviously factory. What did you guys use to attach the strip to the windows? I thought about weatherstrip adhesive, but wasn't sure if this would pose problems I haven't imagined yet. Concours judging won't be a concern for me. Clean functionality will be. Thanks, guys!
