So the paint shop that has been painting my car has somehow managed to misplace my gas tank, chrome trim on lower valance.....

aside from letting them know my frustration, I have let them know that they will be paying for the trim, new gas tank, sending unit, and everything else associated with what was lost.

i have looked online for new gas tanks but it seems like most gas tanks come without the filler neck. I found a used gas tank craigslist, but i just want to make sure its a 68 gto gas tank.

is there any coding (numbers) on the tank to help me tell whether or not it is a 68 tank?

any advice before i make the purchase?
