Thanks for the earlier responses.

One further question. In the posted article, it states to mark the position of the jam nut prior to loosening so that it may be restored to the same position. I would presume that if for some reason the nut is not sufficiently tight the seal will leak. Does over tightening lead to premature wear of the seal (only), or does over tightening lead to any other difficulty?
