Dad's GTO will always be his car. I'm just a "steward" of his stuff. (I had it out today - drove to the corner store).

Moms GTO will always be hers. It took me 2 years before I would drive it. We started the restoration in March of 02 and her breast cancer returned in April. We finished her car in May of 05 and she would drive it anywhere she could. She succumbed to cancer in June 07. Her favorite ride was to Ritters for Vanilla Custard. This year I had Ritters quite a few times.
I would encourage you to take your dad for ride. Its tough I know, for me the rides bring back many great memories and she is smiling right along with me.
