Phil, just from what I'm going thru looking for 14" tires, I suggest going to 15" rimes and tires. It's really not all that noticeable and tires selection will a huge improvement.

As for rims, have you considered a set of Cragar SS rims? They're still the 'old school' look for the 60s muscle cars. Or even the Torque Thrust Ds. Killer looks for both.
