Default Help. Need to replace a/c evaporator core in 65 GTO

How do you remove the evaporator core from a 1965 Pontiac GTO? Is it removed from under the dash inside, or from under the hood? Any help appreciated.

I am actually checking for leaks using soapy water and 100 pounds of air pressure on the low side. I have drenched the under hood side including the compressor and condensor and found no air bubbles, so I am assuming it's going to be a evap issue or a connection at the evap core. Thanks in advance.
