Yes, the small 'side' braces that have the body mount in them are to weld to the wheel well.
You may have to 'encourage' the wheel well to fit the brace. I drilled sheet metal screws into the curved edge of the brace from the inside of the wheel well. This will allow you to weld them, and then once you remove the screws, weld up the holes.

When I did mine, I made sure the body mount bolt was in place so it ensured alignment.
