From Shredders to Pickers
I am a halfway decent guitar player and got into the normal stuff, Hendrix, Zeppelin, SRV, Skynyrd, and also the shred/metal guys like George Lynch, Randy Rhodes, Van Halen. Huge Rush fan too.
Anyway, lately been checking out some very diffferent stuff, Ricky Skaggs, Roy Clark, Jerry Reed, Buck Owens et al. Any other metalhead types out there learning to appreciate how awesome some of these country pickers are? As cheesy as some of his stuff is, Brad Paisley can freaking lay it down too! |
