Hello all!
Received some pictures today of what is claimed, and appears, to be a 1971 SJ. It has black paint, black vinyl top... and blue interior. I'm about six hours from the car's location, so I can't look for the signs myself. But I'm curious what the group thinks - is there any likelihood of this being a valid color combo (did they even offer them that way?), or is it a respray and/or interior swap job (my suspicion)? The fact that someone slapped "455 HO" stickers on the fenders pretty much call everything about it into question, in my mind. But still, I'm curious if this odd combo was possibly original, or simply born of someone's odd taste and/or what was in their local junkyard. --Keith |
