Default Different turn signal switch/horn button for wood wheel?

My old plastic wheel was trashed so I got a deluxe "wood" wheel kit. This one evidently takes one of the horn contacts that needs to rotate since the contact button goes through a hole in the hub, and the plastic wheel just used wires.

I know what the horn contact retainer I need looks like. Do I need a different turn signal switch to use it? Or just remove the contact pin in the existing switch?
