To clarify things, the "III" in 'Ram Air III' was coined well after the fact. To the best of my knowledge in official Pontiac literature there was only the 'Ram Air', and 'Ram Air IV'. It just happens to make sense in the cronology of Pontiac's 'Ram Air' 400cid engines.
