Default No bites on mine in this area. Guess I better keep it.

I have had mine posted locally on CL for a bit and have yet to receive much interest. Maybe I should offer some cheese curds with it??????? Either that or maybe they are of the same mindset as myself for ease/cost of drivetrain conversion or are finding other better priced/NOM/more solid examples elsewhere.

No biggie as it not a must sale but I thought it was reasonably priced as I am trying to recoup my $4600 investment ($4500 plus $100 transport) and am asking $5000.

I did however do some digging and unfortunately it has a 1963 non 4bbl engine in it with a 4bbl swap. 163K2540 79Y That explains the A/C bracket I guess. Don't know about the 3-speed that's in it.

I haven't done a PHS search to see what it originally had since I do not want to spend the money for that. VIN 162P77090

I also found out it came from Missouri early 2000's and was bought and stored immediately by the guy I got it from in 2005 until I bought it last November.

I guess I am still undecided what to do. Sell it, hold on to it until I get the skill or money to do what I want or fix the couple small things and drive it until it pukes and then option 2. All three are viable options I guess.

I love the look of the car and that it is different than your normal Mustang or Camaro, etc.

With that being said, it appears to have a slight leak from under the water pump as evidenced from the 2" puddle beneath it. From what I have read on here it could just be a simple leak but could also be an indicator that the pump has failed or is failing which I know will lead to more catastrophic consequences. I am assuming the options are watch for overheating, or replace gasket or water pump.

Also I think the Edelbrock carb on it is a 500cfm which from reading on here is even too high for a correct 4bbl/high compression engine let alone a lessor one. Those came with 390 cfm correct? I do not know if this has been jetted down or not nor do I know its drive-ability on the street yet because these tires are dry rotted. It has an electric choke on it. When you first start it the idle is really high. If you kick it down it will not stay running unless you give it gas. It does the same thing if you let it kick down by itself. Are these issues more likely vacuum, timing, old gas/plugs, wire issues, the fact it hasn't ran more than 5 minutes at a time in 9 years or could a carb that size affect idling too? Is a fast/slow idle adjustment in order?

Anyway, I appreciate you taking the time to read this rambling and thank you in advance if you provide your advice/feedback.

I think the best motivator will be to get out there to work on and drive this machine now that the weather has finally turned for the better. Who knows, if I get off my butt I may be able to park next to John in Minnesota at BTTF's so he can put me to shame!

I did clean it up a little the other day so it looks more appealing anyway.

Thanks again!
