Default Delco Freedom Battery

The Delco Freedom battery project is finished and it looks pretty sweet. I can't think of much I would change if I did it again and that's always a good thing. Burd of United Fbody had these pieces manufactured. He will be at the TA Nats with a booth and I think will have a few sets to sell. Here's the finished pictures. Right below is the original post and pictures of the parts before "assembly".

I got a setup from him and I am in the process...

Shifting gears, I also toyed around some today with what I'm going to do with the motor, and exchanged several emails today with SD Performance. I think I am going to get a set of reworked 6X heads from Dave, a correct W72 intake with CNC'd plenum and runners. I've seen a lot of recommendations for the 068 cam, but Dave seems to have a better secret recipe. We'll see. I haven't pulled the trigger.....yet...

I've got a mess at the Hot Rod Garage, but the Gold Car is coming off the lift tomorrow and is going to get some road time. The weather is supposed to beautiful and I need to get the Black Car on the lift so the I can fluff it up some before taking it to the TA Nats.

Here's a few early battery pictures. Hopefully I'll get some Gold Car pictures tomorrow.
