Default WTB engine

Hi all,

I started my '63 Tempest project a little over two years ago and had big plans to build a killer stroked (street) 400 with aluminum heads, roller cam, etc., but another baby and some other unexpected family circumstances have slowed my progress and made me less eager to drop the money on a rebuild with all of the go-fast goodies.

Now, I'm looking for a running or easily-made-runnable complete or mostly-complete engine with some modicum of performance to move my project along while I get the parts and funds together for the big build. In keeping with my plans for the Tempest I'm partial to the 4'' stroke motors, but would consider alternatives if they fit the bill and the price is right. I might also consider just a good short block if the price is right. I'm not looking for a completely disassembled engine to put back together though.

If you have something that you think might fit the description above, please email me ([email protected]) and let me know what you've got and what kind of price you're looking for. As far as my price range goes, I'm trying to be frugal. I'm willing to drive about 2 hours away.
