Several Pontiac purists have very bad things to say about the original Edlebrock design--claiming you can get more HP with factory cast iron heads.

Has anyone gotten these newest heads yet that could share their experience?
I had some early E heads, and the only complaint was the oil drain back. The holes for draining oil are on the same plain as the rocker studs, and that caused them to hold a ton of oil where you don't want it. I sold them because of that! Going back to idle after long freeway runs would result in large plumes of smoke, and not from valve cover leaks, and they were new. KRE's for me. If they fixed the oil problem, and I don't mean having to put some ridiculous tube running out of the back of the head, they would be a good head.
