After I get all the views done in AUTOCAD I can print it out with the dimensions and do a QC check to make sure it's 100% accurate.

If it was done in 3D, simply save as a .stp file.
SW, SE, Inventor, Pro-E, etc.. all can read a step file.
If it's a 2D file, send it to me and I'll see if I can make it a 3D one.
I work in 3D (Inventor) all day long.
