Thats a sweet little setup. When I pictured this in my head I pictured them mounted on a completely new back and not with the original dash part. I like the look of yours and it seems like an easier way about it. Was it hard to get a speedo hooked up right? When I last read into getting a mechanical speedo to run with this car there was really not much info about getting it to work properly other than saying it might need an additional fitting to get the speedo cable to fit
