Anyone every use a Hunter brake Lathe?
I picked up a used Hunter BL505 Brake lathe from a local service center. While it seems easy to use, I found something that doesn't seem quite right. It has a limit switch on the caliper feed that will shut the machine off when it gets to the end of a cut. makes perfect sense if you are making a cut & leave it unattended. However the machine does not shut off when it hits the limit on the drum feed. It binds up & I am afraid it will wreck something. There is a switch there that prevents the caliper feed from running if the drum is not in all the way, but I would think this switch would also stop the drum feed from jamming up?
Hope I am explaining this correctly. I am thinking someone might have mis-wired one of the cherry switches on the main control? But I can't find a wiring diagram. There are 5 cherry switches in the machine & all of them test good, so I am puzzled. this is a picture of the same machine for reference.
