Default Routing of 1/4 return line '71 GTO Non-ECS

I ordered a two-piece, 1/4 return line from Right Stuff and thought they would include an install diagram. I have no return line on the car for reference.

The brake line is directly above the 3/8" fuel supply line on the driver side. I assumed the return would install directly above the brake line and follow the fuel line routing. Is that a correct assumption? The front half went right into place but there are so many bends in the back half where it goes up over the rear axle that it doesn't seem to match the profile of the fuel line. The front and back half lines (rubber hose connector between) were probably rotated for packaging shipping.

Anyone have a diagram or link to pics?

Thanks.
