Default 2016 Pontiac Powered Class Racing

Well, it won't be too long 'til the class racing cranks back up. I was just lookin at some of the NHRA specs for popular Pontiac engines. One that has been competitive is the '77 350. It has been factored at 250hp for a while.

But, for this year, they added 4hp, if it's in a Bird. That may not seem like much. But it means the car will have to be heavier, to run the minimum weight for it's class.

Anyhow, good luck to all who will be racing Pontiac powered cars this season. We had some big wins last season. Hope for more this season !

Unfortunately, Bill Edgeworth passed away towards the end of last season.

His '77 Bird was a National record holder. Ryan Warter drove it at a race, and was trying to help sell it, if I have my facts straight. Don't know if it sold or if anybody will be racing it this year. If anybody has more info about this car, or any other class racer news, please post it. Thanks !
