Funny Harley Earl gets excited seeing the twin booms on P-38 and incorporates them into Cadillac tail fins of the late 40's to mid 60's, however P-38 is a old late 1930's design and first flown in Jan-1939. It was our best pre ww2 fighter that bested the P-40 and the F4F especially in the high altitude arena. It had about a 64 mph advantage in speed over them too.
But that DO335 and it's 474mph speed wow!
