Thumbs up SE Dash bezel restoration

I just recolored my dash bezel using a special gold tint lacquer finish, similar to the original finish used by PMD. My dash bezel, other than the gold being faded to silver, was otherwise almost perfect, so there was no need to have the machine turn redone.

I used Nikolas 2105 gold tint transparent lacquer, especially made for spraying onto metals, mainly instruments. First, I removed the plastic instrument bezels, wiper/washer emblem, and RTS emblem. Then, I cleaned the bezel with alcohol to remove dirt and contaminants. I sprayed several light coats until the desired gold color was achieved. The total cost was $32 shipped to my door, and 3 hours of my time. The lacquer dried in less than 30 minutes. I was very happy with the results.
