I don't think there is really much variation in crank pulleys. My pulley is also very close to the frame, and depending on how my motor is positioned in the mounts it is almost impossible to get a belt on. I adjusted it back just a touch so now it is ok.

I also have the 6" WP pulley. I think the only way you can alter WP speed is with the WP pulley diameter. The factory did it this way, depending on engine/cooling options.
