Default "Original miles"

Ok, ok, I'm sure this was coined back in the day when odos only went to 99,999 miles, so 'original' was meant to say that it hadn't rolled over.

Well, odometers have had 100k+ capability for a long time now (30+ years?), and this particular term has always rubbed me wrong. What other kind of miles would they be, "Replacement miles"? "Aftermarket miles"? Puh-lease.

Yeah, this is just one of those things that gets my goat (so to speak ). I only get OCD on a few things...including ads for cars that are "all original", yet have been repainted, Judges that started out as a LeMans, "Munchie" transmissions, "Rockcrusher" transmissions that turn out to be an M20 with a bad bearing, "Posse" rears, "12 Volt" rears, "12 bolt" rears that are obviously 10 bolt rears, engines that have "heathers", or transmissions that have a "stall converter".

Ok, I feel somewhat better I know some of you espouse some of these, and some deride them. Surely I've left out a few gems, as well!
